Gwyneth Paltrow tweeted this picture with the tagline Ni**as in Paris for real. Twitter peeps didn’t particularly like it. Do you think she was wrong? Do you find what she said offensive?
**UPDATE*
The Marquee Blog has more on the situation. Does this change your point of view?

This is why I don’t play with white folks like this. We are NEVER that familiar. o_O

Folks can’t continue being on both sides of this word and it’s really just that simple. You say it and then get mad if other folks say it even if they CLEARLY aren’t being racist. The running joke among her crew is probably that she’s a White-n-word. You know Jay Z uses it as often as a damn conjunction so they prolly let it fly in regular conversation like it’s a regular word. Folks also need to recognize that being on the level Gwyneth Paltrow is…she’s probably so far removed from actual racism that she’s truly forgotten the sting of that word if used negatively.
If folks don’t want her to use it…they need to stop using it too.
SIMPLE.
